Hands Off Protest, April 5th 2025

As part of the larger body of over 1,400 protests taking place across the country, Moore County Indivisible had its own Hands Off protest at the Moore County courthouse in Carthage. Over 150 members of the community showed up to protest in the largest single-day demonstration against the Trump administration at the time, until two months later with the No Kings protests. 

Protestors made signs advocating for programs and policies they wanted the administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to keep their hands off of. Programs at risk of significant cuts were social security, healthcare, food safety, FEMA, and research.
